Stuart has 22 Years in the KBB industry. Starting out in 2000 working as a designer for Living Design which was part of the Anglian group, then Space Kitchens. After a few years of designing kitchens Stuart worked with an installer for a few years, building a valuable insight how kitchen designs are applied practically in the customer’s home.

Due to family commitments Stuart stepped away from the kitchen industry into the motor trade, in a sales role within the Dixon motor group for a Ford franchise. After 4 successful years Stuart had built some capital and decided it was time to start a business within the kitchen industry. He convinced his brother, Daniel and mother Wendy to also invest in the business, and in 2004 and Sheffield Kitchen Outlet was born.

Most of the capital was used to purchase machinery so the company started out supplying trade customers and visiting customers homes with samples. After a year or so the company created a small showroom which increased in size as the company grew.

In 2006 Daniel joined Stuart on the sales team, then in 2008 Stuart stepped away from sales after designing thousands of kitchens to concentrate on running and growing the business.

Stuart continues to ensure all 10 of SKO's designers still follow his original ethics, ensuring honest advice, transparent pricing and relaxed approach to the sales process. All our quotes are design led and focused on the customer's demands.

SKO now has over 50 full-time employees and 20 self-employed installation teams creating valuable jobs locally.

What to Expect During a Kitchen Installation

A kitchen installation runs in a set order: preparation, then removing the old kitchen, first-fix plumbing and electrics, any plastering work, fitting the cabinets, and finally worktops, appliances and finishing.
